Box packing calculator
Enter a box and a product to see how many fit, or mix a few products in one box. You get a 3D packing diagram, billable weight for USPS, UPS and FedEx, and a check against Amazon FBA box limits.

How it works
- 1
Every orientation
Each product is tried in all six orientations. Turn on "This side up" for anything that can't be tipped over.
- 2
Mixed layers
Rows inside a layer can run in different directions, and layers of different heights can be stacked, so the count is often higher than a simple grid.
- 3
Nothing floats
In a mixed box every item sits on the box floor or has at least 70% of its base resting on other items.
Questions
Does the result leave room for padding?
No. Enter the space you actually have: if you use 1 inch of padding on each side, take 2 inches off each inside measurement.
What is billable weight?
Carriers charge for whichever is higher: the actual weight or the dimensional weight (volume divided by a factor). USPS, UPS and FedEx round each side up to the next inch and divide by 139. USPS only does this for packages over 1 cubic foot.
Why is the count lower than box volume divided by product volume?
Products are rigid blocks, so gaps remain at the edges unless the sizes divide evenly. The calculator lays them out in rows and layers you could pack by hand.
What are the Amazon FBA box limits?
In the US, a box with more than one item can be up to 36 inches long, 25 inches wide and 25 inches high, and weigh up to 50 lb. In Europe each side can be up to 63.5 cm and the box up to 23 kg. A single oversize item has its own rules.
What does Pro add?
You save the boxes you keep in stock and your products once. For each order, Pro tries every box, shows the one with the lowest billable weight, splits the order across boxes when one isn't enough, and prints a packing list. It's $4.99 a month.
Is what I type sent anywhere?
The free calculator runs in your browser. Sizes and weights aren't sent to our server. Pro saves your boxes and products to your account so they're there next time.
